Navratri 2014 is just a couple of days away. Due to popular demand, we decided to include some Dandiya songs for those who are interested in celebrating this festival. Similar to garba, dandiya-raas is one of the dance forms of traditional and folk dance of Gujarat originated from Vrindavan by Lord Krishna. Garba is a dance form that can be played with clapping of hands but dandiya-raas is meant to be played with a pair slim wooden sticks. These pair of sticks resemble to the sword of Goddess Durga. The women wear traditional dress i.e. colorful & embroidered chaniya cholis with matching bandhani dupattas and jewellery.
