GATE cut off marks 2015 will be soon out on the official website of IIT Kanpur for GATE. Candidates must be very curious for their GATE Cut off and GATE ranking. GATE is Graduate Aptitude Test Engineering is one of the most prestigious exam of our country and is a benchmark to test the engineering aptitude and general aptitude of the candidates so as to check their performance level. The GATE cut off is declared at the time of declaration of result and the candidates who wiil score marks equal to the cut off marks or more than the cut off marks will be among the top rankers in the AIR (all India Ranking). The result was announced earlier (check this post) by the officials.
After the GATE exams, candidates either wish to pursue the further studies or to get job in the public sector undertakings as a first level engineer. This exam is conducted jointly by the seven IITs and IIS, Bangalore. GATE exam is a preliminary exam to test the comprehensive and general understanding in different subjects of engineering, technology, architecture and post graduate subjects of science.
IIT Kanpur shouldered all the responsibility of conducting GATE 2015. Total 22 subjects were included along with GATE paper, XE paper section as well as XL paper section wherein the candidate has to appear only for one subject. The examinations are already over the results are awaited to be out very soon.

GATE cut off means the minimum marks declared by the GATE committee. The committee decides the minimum marks needed to score in this exam on basis of lots of considerations like the previous years’ cut off, previous years’ result, the increase in the number applicants for further studies in previous year, the number of candidates appeared for the GATE exam during the current year, number of institutes who will be participating the counseling and admission process in the current year. Moreover the number of vacant seats in the participating colleges and institutes also is to be considered by the committee while deciding the cut off of the current year.
