India vs Bangaldesh : Team India for ODI & Test
BCCI concludes selection of team India for Bangaladesh tour today that will be heading to Bangladesh for the upcoming Test series and three ODIs. While the selection committee has gone as per predictions some where, it has proved some assumptions wrong too. However the selection committee which met in Mumbai today has retained most of the players of the Australia series. Only change which is a pleasant one comes with veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh’s inclusion in the squad for test after his storming bright performances at IPL 8.
The only player not available for selection was Shami who is unfit and remained unavailable for IPL 8 matches too. BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur announced the finalized teams for Bangladesh tour after the selection panel’s meeting which lasted for about an hour. Dhoni is captaining the ODI squad while Virat Kohli continues to head Test squad. No major reshuffles have been given in the selected teams as the committee has went by the brilliant performances by team India at recent world cup and Indian Premiere League season 8.

Beside off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, there are rarely any surprise package the selection committee offers. Yet to recover Shami’s place has been replaced with Dhawal Kulkarni in the squad of ODI who has played four ODIs so far.
The speculations went wrong about the teams for ODI and Test series of Bangaldesh as all the star players like Kohli, Dhoni are retained in the teams. The outcome means a strong team for the event is floated against Bangladesh team that flared well recently against Pakistan in series.
The Test will be starting off from June 10th while the three ODIS will be played on 18th June, 21st June and 24th June. Hence no much respite for team India and the leading players too after the IPL play which is yet to pack up on 24th May.
As for Indo-Pak series, nothing is yet finalized and the talks are still on. However with India vs Bangladesh following within few days after closure of IPL 8, its again fun time for cricket fans of India and Bangladesh.
