The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 will be the 11th ICC Cricket World Cup to be held from 14 February 2015 to 29 March 2015. The tournament will feature 14 teams, the same number as the 2011 World Cup, giving associate and affiliate member nations a chance to participate. 14 Countries included in the tournament are New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Australia, England, South Africa, Pakistan, India, Zimbabwe, Ireland, West Indies, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Scotland, and United Arab Emirates. The format of the tournament ensures that each team gets to play a minimum of six matches even if they exit in the group stage.
World Cup 2015 Group/ Pool
There are Two-group stages in the tournament: Pool A and Pool B. Top A teams from both the pools will qualify for Quarterfinals. The teams allocated to Pool A and Pool B are given in the table below:

The Local Organizing Committee of the World Cup 2015 tournament was finalized consisting of Mr. John Harnden as Chief Executive, Mr. James Strong as Chairman of the Committee and Mr. Ralph Waters as the Deputy Chairman. The broadcasting rights of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 tournament has sold to ESPN and Star Cricket at a price of US$ 2 billion. It will be one of the world’s largest International Sports tournaments, with 14 competing teams and more than 400 accredited players and officials taking part in it.
We all know that India is the defending champions defeating Sri Lanka by six wickets in the finals, having won the tournament in 2011 when it was held in Mumbai. On this 2015 Cricket World Cup tournament, tickets for India V/s Pakistan match (Pool B), scheduled on 15 February 2015 was reportedly sold within 12 minutes. In 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, India will compete against Zimbabwe at Eden Park, Auckland, on March 14. In the group, India will also play against South Africa (in Melbourne on February 22), UAE (in Perth on February 28), West Indies (in Perth on March 6) and Ireland (in Hamilton on March 10).
