Phir Se Trailer debuting Kunal Kohli & Jennifer Winget

Kunal Kohli, the director of ‘Hum Tum’ has turned actor with his first acting venture Phir Se against Jennifer Winget.  Watch the trailer here:

While the tagline of the film is ‘I’m not 40, I’m 22 with 18 years experience, trailer of ‘Phir Se’ starts with Kunal Kohli’s line ‘I’m not good, I’m not even Bad; Im just a work in progress’. Kunal Kohli has debuted in bollywood with Jennifer Winget who played the lead role of Kumud in Bhansali’s TV Show ‘Saraswatichandra’. ‘Phir Se’ is also a debut for Jennifer Winger into bollywood films. The film also stars Sushamita Mukherjee, Dalip Tahil and Rajit Kapor. Film willl be at box office on 8th May.

Kunal Kohli is famous for directing highly successful Yash Raj Films movies like Fanaa and Hum Tum. Film ‘Phir Se’, as the title suggests, depicts one more chance to love. It is a matured romance  wherein Kunal Kohli and Jenniffer winget are playing middle aged divorcee couple. Film is about the couple’s venture to give a second chance to love in their life. The film trailer gives us feel of typical Yash Chopra’s romantic musicals. The scenes and music sounds soft and flowing as it goes with romantic films very well. Yash Chopra’s romantic genre is re-shaped here in some different form.

‘Phir Se’ is co-directed by Ajay Bhuyan and Kunal Kohli himself and shooting is entirely done in London. The movie is not likely to be loved by main stream run-of-the-mill audience. However it is an interesting film which may pave way into matured love stories in bollywood. However the love and fight scenes are like having seen in many bollywood love stories.

We can just look high to the film as Kunal Kohli’s venture with a different kind of love story. It deals with a relation of husband-wife who are separated and try to come to terms once again. The film may not create magic at the box office but may attracting mature crowd looking for off-bit kind of movies.

Kunal Kohli has already marked a success as director of ‘Hum Tum’ which was a big hit and bagged 5 Filmfare awards which also included best director award for Kohli. He also directed Yash Chopra’s ‘Mujhse Dosti Karoge’ which starred Rani Mukherjee and Hrithik Roshan and Kajol’s comeback film ‘Fanaa’ witih Aamir Khan.

Music of the film is composed by Jeet Ganguly and lyrics are done by Rashmi Singh. Voices are given by Shreya Ghoshal, Arijit Singh, Palak Muchhal, Mohit Chauhan and Nikhil Dsouza  and Mohammed Irfan.
