Microsoft unveiled its flagship Lumia series Windows 8.1 devices today in a launch event today. Following the trend of dual SIM devices Microsoft two new dual SIM devices– Microsoft Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL. They have an uphill task to win the hearts of Indian users. Chinese manufacturers like Gionee, Xiamo and lava are already enjoy the bigger share of the pie due to their extremely competitive price. In fact, Gionee launched Elife S7, a high end smartphone, few days back at an attractive price point of Rs. 24, 999. On the other hand the Windows phone is yet to go mainstream. The adoption of the Windows Phone is very poor in the market due to lack of apps and games. Considering all this factor in the mind, Microsoft Lumia, previously known as Nokia Lumia, launched two budget smartphone in the Indian market.
The USP of the devices are LTE, free Office 365 yearly subscription, free OneDrive storage and upgradable to Windows 10. Microsoft Lumia 640 and 640XL both comes at an affordable price range of Rs. 11,999 and Rs. 15,799 respectively. Both of them comes with quad core processor. They boasts an impressive specs and is suitable for gamers as well as normal users.

Both the devices will be available through Microsoft selected partners. Flipkart will be exclusively make Lumia 640 available to the users. The Office 365 subscription along with Mobikwik and Ola cab offers will be made available to all the users who have bought the before June end. Both the devices will be LTE / 4G compatible which is yet to be available in the India. Airtel and Aircel are offering 4G services in some part of the India so users in those area will be able to enjoy the service. With Office 365 users will be able to edit excel, word, powerpoint and other important documents on the go.
Besides that all the Lumia related app like Maps, camera and other will be exclusively available to all the users.
