CG PET is conducted by Chattisgarh Professional Examination Board which is an autonomous body. The admissions to the institutes are made according to the marks of pre engineering test called PET. The Directorate of Technical Education in Chattisgarh state imparts technical education across state. It assigns the work of conducting exams to the vyapam of Chattisgarh professional examination board, Raipur. The courses covered under technical education in Chattisgarh are Engineering, Technology, Management, Architecture, Computer Science and Pharmacy. Currently there are three government engineering colleges, 3 autonomous or self financed colleges and also 26 private engineering institutes in the state. Moreover, there are M Tech, ME, MBA, MCA and D Pharm and M Pharm courses in the state run by private sector.

CG PET Cut Off 2015
Cut off for general category is 10% while for SC/ST/OBC/H is 5%. Students of general category should have obtained 10% either in JEE Main or in CG PET to get admissions into the various engineering and technical institutes across the states while students appeared for exams under other categories should have obtained minimum 5% in JEE or CG PET result 2015.
The CG PET counselling procedures will be taken up by directorate of technical education during the month of July 2015 after the CG PET result 2015 is announced. Candidates will be admitted on basis of their merit in G PET or JEE and on basis of availability of seats in the respective courses and colleges.
