The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2014, result will be declared on 27, December 2014. The test conducting body Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIM-I) on Monday confirmed that CAT 2014 result would be uploaded on 27th Dec, 2014 (Saturday) in the evening hours on CAT website (http://www.iimcat.ac.in/). There is a delay in declaration of CAT 2014 result because finals verification process is underway to see if there were any flaws in the score normalization process of the CAT 2014 Result. We hereby provide the guidelines to check the CAT 2014 results from above mentioned CAT websites. The candidates can view and download and must take out the print of the score cards for the future reference.
CAT-2014 was organized by Indore-based Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and a total of 1,96,951 candidates has registered for CAT 2014 and 1.75 lakh candidates appeared for the test. The CAT test was held on November 16 and 22 at 354 centers in 99 cities across India. CAT 2014 result shared by the CAT centre will be announced on 27, December 2014, in the evening. Since nearly 1.70 lakh test takers will be visiting CAT 2014 website simultaneously the downloading process may be slowed down due to heavy rush. The candidates will be able to view and download their score cards from the day onwards by following few easy steps given bellow:
- Visit the official CAT website (link given above).
- Login with the CAT 2014 registered ID and password.
- Click on the “RESULT” icon to view and download their score cards.
- Since no hard copy of the CAT 2014 result will be sent to you, download and take few prints of the CAT 2014 score card to explore admission possibilities and for future reference.
Based on the CAT 2014 result, 19 IIMS will declare shortlists of the candidates based on their admission criteria and CAT 2014 cutoffs. Those candidates who get shortlisted have to appear for Group Discussion/ Written Ability Test and Personal Interview rounds. Common Admission Process (CAP) is going to be conduct by 6 new IIMs, IIM Ranchi, Raipur, Rohtak, Trichy, Udaipur and Kashipur. The total number of seats offered by IIM is approx. 3500 seats including six new IIMs, which are going to be functional from 2015-17. Prof. Rohit Kapoor, Convener, CAT 2014 confirmed that Tata Consultancy Services (TCS ) would be the agency which will conduct the computer based CAT 2014. Prometric was the previous agency, which had the 5 year contract with IIMs to conduct the computer based CAT since 2009. Prof. Kapoor also said that, “We look forward to the association with TCS for the next 5 years. We aim to make CAT a hurdle free experience for the test takers.”
