Highest number of players are retained by Punjab and the list include Virender Sehwag, Axar Patel, Anureet Singh, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Karanveer Singh, Shardul Thakur, Manan Vora, Parvinder Awana, Rishi Dhawan, Sandeep Sharma, Shivam Sharma, Wriddhiman Saha, South African players Beuran HendricksA and David Miller, Australian players George Bailey, Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Johnson and Shaun Marsh and Srilankan Thisara Perera. Three players bought through auction this year are Murali Vijay, Nikhil Naik and Yogesh Gowalker.
Kings XI Punjab has made minimum out of the 2015 auction. It has retained most of his players. It has bought this yer just three players which includes Murali Vijay at Rs. 3 crore and other two naive Indian players. However it has retained good players like Sehwag, Bailey and Maxwell. Punjab lost the final game last year to Kolkata Knight Riders. With most of the players having retained, we can hope if they are betting on the same team to lead to the game till final to win this time unlike the last season 7 of IPL in 2014.
