JEE Main 2015 by CBSE

CBSE has already announced the date of Joint Entrance Exam – Main as on 4th April 2015 for offline mode and on 10th and 11th April 2015 for online or computerized mode. JEE is a two tier examination; JEE Main being the first stage and JEE Advanced is the second stage. Candidates who get qualified in the first stage, can only appear for examination of JEE Advanced.  Students getting qualified in JEE Main will be getting admissions to IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), NITs (National Institutes of Technology), CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institute) and other institutes of India. JEE Advanced is for admissions to the premier institutes of India i.e. IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) and ISM (Indian School of Mine), Dhanbad.

Check your JEE Main result 2015 online

1. Log on to the official website of CBSE for results or log on directly to the portal of  JEE Main:

2. Click on the result link and get a new screen on the page titled JEE Main 2015 Result.

3. Enter your Roll number and Date of Birth in the boxes given.

4. Click on ‘Submit’ button to get your result. Save your JEE Main result for 2015 in pdf format or print it out for your records as CBSE will not be sending or mailing the score cards of JEE to the candidates.

According to the notification released by CBSE, the marks of all the candidates who appeared for JEE exam in April will be declared by 27th of April on the websites. Along with these marks, the top 1,50,000 rankers of JEE Main will also be declared. These rankers can appear for the second stage i.e. JEE Advanced.

Later on a separate rank list will be declared by 7th of July 2015 on the basis of JEE Main 2015 result and normalized score in Class 12th board exam which is called AIR (All India Ranking). Students of this rank list can get admission to institutions other than IITs and ISM. Hence the candidates in list of All India Ranking will get qualified for admission to NITs, IIITs, CFITs and other engineering and technical institutes of India. Following the results of JEE Main, Counseling procedures will start from 2nd week of July 2015by Central Seat Allotment Board (CSAB). JEE Main Counseling procedures is comprised of online registration, online choice filling and choice locking, Seat Allocatino and documents verification and finally reporting for admission to the allocated institute.

JEE Main Results 2014

During last year, the JEE Main result was declared on 2nd of May 2014. Almost 14 lakh candidates had appeared for the test. The topper was from Andhra Pradesh scoring 355 out of 360. The second and third toppers were from Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh respectively with 350 scores out of 360. This was just a few statistics of last years’ result of JEE Main.
